Kutumb Restaurant at Rohini in New Delhi at the Metro Walk Mall is serving monstrous thalis and it's not for the feeble hearted. Touted to be India's biggest veggie lover thali, Kutumb's form has everything from starters to treats.

An unadulterated vegan multi cooking eatery in Rohini, Kutumb remains consistent with its name (family) and has a simple and comfortable environment mirroring the extraordinary styles of desi Indian culture.

Going to the sustenance, these folks dish up yummy servings of Dal Matki, Smoky Handi Biryani, Family Sizzlers and Dessert Platters, yet there's no opposition with regards to their huge Kutumb Sampoorna Thali, or, in other words, satisfactory for your whole family! The Sampurna Thali weighs more than 12.5 kg and this just for Rupees 1699!


Priced at Rs 1699 thali has everything from starters to sweets. It’s a full paisa vasool thali. The relaxing thing is that this can be shared and 4-5 people can together finish it.

The head chef at Kutumb is Supar Singh Rawat. He claims the thali has a lot of vaiety from sweet, spicy, sour and all the seasoned spices. Panner Makhani is absolutely delicious and is smothered in butter. It’s a must try. The biryani they serve in this thali is Kutumb’s special biryani and is loved by everyone. The food can be shared between 8-10 people.

Idea behind the thali:
The owner claims the idea behind creating such a gigantic thali is to get families together and encourage more family outings. This is just another reason for families to come out together and eat their supper together.
He explains that how a family when comes in to an eatry generally take up 6 different plates. He think it’s the usual regime. He questions what is the market offering that different.
He belives if a family eats food together in one plate, then it leads to a better bond between them.
Kutumb did not aim for india’s largets thali but it just happened for them. They feel lucky and obliged for such an honor and aim to continue providing delicious food with superb quality.
Kutumb is now planning to open 5 more outlets all over the country.
